Few Questions I have while I was studying:

ATP, how does it get out of the mitochondria? I know we don't have to know this, but it would be cool to know 😎 .

Thermodynamics Vs Thermochemistry ( ), What do we have to know 😕 .

Quarks (do we have to know anything about this).

MOST IMPORTANT, for those of you with kaplan blue book (probably all of you), can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE breakdown the example at the bottom of page 178 for me in Chemistry? I'm having a lot of trouble understanding that concept.

My KBB doesnot have any chemistry on that page. Its evolution in there. Anyways what are quarks?

Quarks are physics...why would we need to know that? In any case, I'd prefer physics over bio anyday 😀

ATP molecules that are generated in the mitochondria exit into the cytosol by means of ANT (Adenonine nucleotide transporter). The exchange reaction is electrogenic and driven by the electrical component of the proton gradient (actually driven by a single proton I believe), so that entry of ADP and exit of ATP are favored.

I have given up choosing the correct answer for ATP questions. 95% of my books (including Kaplan) cling to the previously established counts of ATP. I am beginning to think that the key to the real DAT is figuring out the consensus amongst books and not the actual truth eeeeeee
