So basically at UCD you need to complete 39 units minimum over the entire school year to meet minimum satisfactory academic progress requirements in addition to a 2.0 GPA or better. I doublechecked with the registrar before I withdrew last spring quarter that I would not be on academic probation since I only did 25 units for the last 2 quarters and they clarified that I wouldn't go on academic probation.
Well, problem is they didn't know what they were talking about and the college of letters and science that my major is through said that the registrar doesn't even check academic progress and is not supposed to offer any advice to that effect.
So as a result, damage is done, I'm on academic probation but the advisor for the college said that it's an internal designation that is only viewable to them so it won't show up on any official transcript. She wasn't sure, however, if I'd still be required to list it on AMCAS. For those of you who have filled out the application before, what does it require as far as full disclosure? I'm pretty sure I have to list it but figured I'd check first.
