I had two experiences before, I had to look for a hotel. Now tomorrow, I am supposed to go for a interview on Wedensday, I emailed one week ago and today, no response. frustrated.

Hotel...there aren't many possible outcomes to this scenario.

I just feel... Are these future doctors?

Cancel your interview.

Jk, yeah, you probably have to go to a hotel. Maybe the student forgot and has been too busy to check email?

If the host coordinator provides you with the studen'ts number, you can try texting them. I've had a student host that read my email and forgot to reply to me until I texted her and asked about it.

That sucks dude.. my student host programs have all been amazing so far. Saved me tons of $$ in hotel & cab fees. I definitely plan on returning the favor next year.

From my albeit short experience with emailing my classmates/other med students for a student group function I was organizing, most med students don't read/respond to emails unless they involve free food of some sort. Also, I receive so many emails every day that important emails kind of get lost in the mess and I forget to respond. Not responding to emails doesn't make a bad medical student...in fact doctors are even harder to get a hold of.

Your solutions:
1) Call admissions or the student host coordinator and figure out what's going on
2) Email the host a 3rd time and offer to bring them a batch of freshly baked treats 👍
3) Get a hotel

No, only email. I am not sure whether it is appropiate to ask the coodinator the student's #.

They'll give it to you if they think its appropriate. Don't ask for it. The kid is doing you a favor.

OK, Apologize for my over-reaction. I will get a hotel, that is how I did before with this kind of situation.
Ok, and if they didn't you would have to get a hotel. Now you have to get a hotel.

Medical school can be very busy at times, maybe it is test week there.

Actually whenever I stayed with a student host, I treated him the dinner, and even offered to compensate, which was turned down.

They may have been assigned to another student if the unresponsive one didn't volunteer their place with no real intention if honoring their promise...
