I'm starting this thread, because I haven't seen an up to date thread for Howard University. Anyone got an interview scheduled for next week or any interview tips that they would like to share?

When did you submit your application? Also how did they notify you? I've been calling them over and over and haven't heard a thing

I submitted Oct 15. Then i heard NOTHING 🙁 So i emailed everyone in the PT department about my application status. They never told me if they got my materials or anything. (i emailed in Feb) They contacted me March 1 or 2nd I forgot which and said my application has been received and is being processed. The next day I was invited for an interview. p.s my interview is on Friday ! im so nervous 🙁

I submitted Oct 15. Then i heard NOTHING 🙁 So i emailed everyone in the PT department about my application status. They never told me if they got my materials or anything. yea they even mentioned it in the interview. I found out the day before :/

They interview went well. It was a committee interview. 2 women 1 man. I had to answer two essay questions before the interview. The interview questions were:
1. why pt
2. why howard
3. howard is on probation, so why howard (I got stuck on this 🙁) & did you apply to other schools?
4. who has most influenced you and why?
5. did you take anatomy with cadavers or animals? If it was with animals they suggest you retake it this summer, because most of the students struggle with anatomy.
6. have you spoken to any PTs or students in PT school?
7. is there anything we should know about you or your character?
8. any questions?

my interview was slotted for only 30 minutes but we talked for an hour. When i asked them a question they all had answers that was pretty long. Also, i think i was the only scheduled interview.

They said bc they are under review by CAPTE they would not notify the students if they are in until end of april and beginning of may.

How did your interview go? I have one this Friday with Howard that I'm preparing for. Any tips you would like to share?
