so 2 months after mailing my application for Howard (09/27) and not getting a complete confirmation email, I decided to call the admission office and found out my application was somehow misplaced and never entered into the system. It is 01/24 now, and I haven't heard anything. Is there any person I can email, or write to, in order to reiterate my strong interest in Howard? I have already called the office numerous times in vain. Is there any other way to express your interest to Howard?

I just interviewed at Howard. I was vey impressed. The director of admissions would be a good person to talk too (Ms. Walk). She's cool. But she said that it is best to call Monday or Friday mornings.

This bothers me because everyone always talks about how slow Howard is and in a sense, how careless they are. But its annoying how they're not very responsive to applicant inquiries. I sent in my secondary app a while back and I've not even gotten an e-mail to say that they recieved my app., let alone whether or not it's complete. I called and the lady was like ..."You'll get an e-mail when we have everything." How hard can it be to put an applicant info into a comp and when they call at least you can go in there and say "oh yeah we have you app". This is our future and they're playing with it like it's some sort of a gamble. Ridiculously sad.

I do not know if this is still true, but facility wise and staff wise, the admissions office is not what it should be and thus the staff that is there is SEVERELY overtaxed. Maybe there are some procedures coming in the future to square away this concern. Hopefully so.
