No word yet but when I interviewed, they specifically said that they will be mailing the letters off today, November 30th, and would not be calling. So I am guessing we should hear something from them possibly tomorrow or next week. If anyone calls the school today in regards to their status and gets a positive response please share. Thanks.

Yeah the paper does say that and I hope they do email today. However when we asked they said they will be droping the letters in the mail today. If you get an email today let us know. I am so tempted to call and ask. 🙂
 
I called, and the nice secretary told me this:

"They will get letters out in the next 3 working days."

after I asked:

"Hi, I interviewed in the first round of D.S. applicants, when will we get our decisions?"

Pretty straightforward guys. We might have to wait another week b/c of snail mail. No mention was made of emails.
 
Howard is updated on aadsas, go check

Then congrats are in order. Pretty Odd, considering the secretary just told me they will mail out decisions in the next three business days. And my AADSAS was never updated for Howard since the summer, it's always been blank. Just gotta wait it out now.
 
My AADSAS says offer made as well.

That's Howard for you. They leave you in the dark then BOOM!! Offer made! I love it! Temple or Howard? Let me think about it. What is there to think about? Decision is made. Who plans on joining me at Howard in the fall?
 
PCrooks, why are you choosing Howard over Temple? Just curious.
 
i didnt get accepted to either yet but im wondering the same thing.

Howard has trained so many great African-American doctors and dentist. I've always wanted to be a part of that tradition.

Hey anyone whose from gville get an acceptance letter from Howard?, I'm hoping the mail is just slow and not that I didnt get an acceptance letter.
 
The mail was slow for me (Tampa, FL). I got my acceptance letter from Howard on December 4th. My AADSAS is still blank though!
 
nraouf, AADSAS definitely didnt get updated.... Mine is still blank and even for some of the other schools i applied to...
I hope you were able to get your paper done and I am really sorry about your computer... i believe you will get an acceptance... gosh you were there for the interview and got gipped. See you fall 08! 🙂:luck:🙂

I am in FL too and I got mine in the mail yesterday but my AADSAS said offer made on Nov 30th

Maybe you should give them a call tomorrow... it can't hurt.

Didn't your computer get stolen when you came to the interview? I might have gotten you confused with someone else... but when i went to be interviewed at Howard, the admissions lady (clarke) said someone's computer (laptop) had been stolen/hotel room vandalized... neway I interviewed on October 22nd...
 
I got accepted to Howard. "Offer Made" on AADSAS Dec 1. I live in Tallahassee and received my letter two days ago. Almost sure I will be attending. Louisville or Howard???? What do you guys think? Personally I am a big city girl but Louisville people are really supportive.
 
Hey guys, I havent received a letter from Howard but I check AADSAS today and it said "offer made". I called them and they wouldn't tell me what it meant. Has everyone that's gotten in had their AADSAS say "offer made?" Thanks

Yes...offer made=acceptance...unless it was an error..which I don't think so....but I would expect something in the mail..
 
If that's the case...........at last! If not 😡. I'll just wait for the letter, but that makes me feel better. If anyone else can endorse that "offer made" = acceptance, that'd make my weekend. Thanks guys
 
Offer made = acceptance letter for me too.
 
i havent gotten my letter either, but i just moved so there are some problems with my mail.. i havent gotten any letters, but i called and confirmed earlier today and they told me that i got in bc i dont trust the online thing either so i resorted to calling all schools that said offer made that didnt call me
 
Hi all, Congratulations for making it so far. Does anybody know how the wait list work in HUCD?Do I have to wait till Jan. 15th after some accepted students withdraw or just have to wait till the 2nd round of interviews end??Any comment is greatly appreciated.🙂

nraouf, have you been wait listed too?I don't think it works according to interview time. What is your number on their wait list? if you don't mind me asking you.I wish i knew that we would be considered afetr Jan. 15th or afer all the 2nd round of interviews are done.😕

Most defenitely you are accepted, yes mine says waitlisted unfortunately. BE HAPPYYYY You are in, be. Will you be attending Howard?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Still uneasy without an official letter, but if I'm in then yepp, i'll be there in the fall. I got the impression that grades are not harped on so the experience is supposed to be less stressful and it's more of a family environment than a school. The facilities all together are a little run down but they've added a new simulation lab (nice) and they have a smart classroom( everything the teacher writes on the board appears on your laptop) and they should be getting some new stuff.
