Attention, all attendings, residents, hopeful medical students, etc.

When you get off of a challenging shift, or a good shift, or a bad shift, or whatever.

Howl.

Get out to the helipad. Get out to the ambulance bay. Get out to wherever.

But... HOWL.

You can short-howl, you can long-howl, you can war-howl, you can howl in defeat.

But, freaking HOWL.

HOW-whuLLLLLLL!

Great resuscitation? Howl!
Have to break awful news to a patient? Howl!
All your charts are done when you leave a shift? Howl!

Just HOWL!

It helps. A lot.
Ten years in this game.
It helps. A lot.

Does this count? I do this sometimes lol

Admin encourages physician howling on the helipad. Promotes “wellness.”

I actually usually do this move when no one is watching and am still amped about a good resus or crazy shift that I felt like I helped save someone.

Why would you post Obrien talking about a transporter malfunction when he's clearly wearing his chief engineer uniform from DS9 and not his TNG uniform where he was the actual transporter officer? [/nerdrant]

There was a period where half the fleet was wearing the "old" uniforms and half had transitioned to the (blech) DS9 uniforms. Maybe it was just before he left the Enterprise?

[NERD] Best uniforms were introduced in Star Trek II. Also the best Trek movie ever made [/NERD]

This is one of our physicians, Dr. Ozbourne howling at the moon on the helipad, last night. It seemed to work out pretty well.

I don't think they changed the communicator until after the Enterprise D was destroyed. Even if I'm wrong though, he's wearing his ds9 enlisted rank insignia here (where they finally decided, no he's enlisted not an officer) instead of the officer pips he wore on the Enterprise. O'Brien's rank has a lot of continuity **** ups.

Agree about WoK being epic. I'm still partial to first contact. Probably depends on which series you grew up with.

My vote is for first contact. ****ing love that movie. can't wait for new Picard series.

And I was thinking that the neurology subforum was overrun with incels...😉

I'm assuming that you're not quite familiar with the nuance of that term, unless you're implying that Star trek fans are also resentful, misogynistic, and generally horrible human beings?

They changed around the 3rd season of DS9 and carried through the movies. They've also retconned them into Discovery, Lt. Tyler has the Section 31 version.

Same here. Looking forward to Picard as well as the 3rd season of Discovery.

Watched IV, VI, and II today, BBC America was running an out-of-order marathon.

Nah. Pretty sure he just means that STAR-TREK fans are dudes that can't get laid, and are upset about such.

NERRRRDS.

(Full disclosure: I'm a giant nerd about post-apocalyptic ficition, so I have [edit: no] room to argue), but:

HOWL !

You need to push back the keyboard and follow GeneralVeers’ advice in post #12 if you could not immediately tell that I was joking. In fact, make it a double.

Whisky time it is!

Forget howling on the helipad after the shift. Go straight to celebratory ululating as you discharge your last patient...and they aren’t going to be able to say anything to you because, diversity.

Only if she's hairy with a beard then "Woof" is appropriate

From what I can remember, Buzz's girlfriend (pubescent) is now Jenny McJennyson, NP-ABC/123. At least that's what I can gather from the school-yearbook-photo that Kevin scoffs at in the movie.
