I moved for medical residency and my cat has been driving me nuts. Please give me advice. She is fixed, indoor only cat. About 2-5 in the morning and various other times she starts howling, like nothing i have ever heard before. She walks up and down the hall of my apartment doing this (especially at the door). It has been driving me nuts to the point that I bought "calm" treats from the store and gave them to her the last couple nights with some success. I have been thinking maybe she needs a friend (another cat), but my boyfriend is around a lot while I am at work. I really don't want to commit to another cat now though. I need advice, it has now been about two months in our new place and this lack of sleep is getting me. I am thinking about taking her to the vet soon. Thanks.

The purpose of the veterinary forum is not to ask advice about pets. Closing the thread. This is more of a general topic thread more suitable for all students or the lounge.
