how's my freshman schedule?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
When I saw this thread, I kinda made me want to cry. Seriously delete SDN off of your favorites and come back when you're prepping for the MCAT. Don't you have advisors at your school? Some one there is going to be a lot more helpful with college schedules than some random person on SDN.

And don't sacrifice your life for a 4.0. Med schools don't care if you have a 4.0, if you have a giant stick up your a**. It is possible to work hard and play hard, you just have to find the balance.

Sorry to be harsh, but I have a 3.96 GPA / 41 MCAT and I also have an underage. Have fun in college or you'll regret it.

My advice to every freshman is to take something for fun every semester. Try a PE activity you've never done, or a non-audition music group, or something just because the opportunity is there, and you'll never get this time for exploration again. Who knows, it may turn into the passion which makes you the perfect med applicant.

I'll be a freshman this fall and taking 14 credits which include General Bio, General Chem, Trignometry and US history. Here's my schedule for fall semester:

Mon- Trig(10-10:45), History(11-11:45), Bio Lec(1-2pm)

Tue- Chem Lec(1-2pm), Chem Recitation(2:30-3:15)

Wed- Trig(10-10:45), History(11-11:45), Bio Lec(1-2pm)

Thur- Chem Lab(8:30am- 11:10), Chem Lec (1-2pm), Bio Lab(5:30-8:15pm)

Fri- Trig(10-10:45), History(11-11:45)

ANy suggestions on my selection of classes would be helpful.
Btw, I already completed my ENglish requirement during summer. Also, its a commuter campus. Thanks !!!

Sounds like fun, but I agree if you are able (didn't fail to place or whatnot) calculus would be more valuable than trig.

Once again, I know about the calculus requirement for med school. But the placement tests I took placed me into trig. I just have to wait for calculus 🙁.

Just take your time and try your hardest... Mainly because your taking 2 of your pre-reqs this year... Chem and Bio... Keep your head Up... 😉
