I'm about to attend optometry school starting in Fall 2022 and have started to reach out to the Navy, AF, and Army in regards to to HPSP. I'm mainly interested in the three year program.
So far, the Navy has told me that optometry students do not qualify for HPSP and that I would have to apply for HSCP instead. Everything that I have read online made it seem like HPSP was an option so I am confused.
Does anyone know if this is true or not, and if the other two branches (Army and AF) HPSP programs covers Optometry students? If anyone is currently in HPSP, I would love to get in touch with you so we can discuss it in further detail.
