hSDN Class of 2012

Granted I still don't know how to see my post count for the thread, so I have no idea if I have reclaimed my spot yet.

In case I did, though,

EDIT: Math isn't my strong suit.

OMG, just saw INS's new custom user tag.

W00t!!

AntiHouse, between your Scrubs and BBT GIFing, I am revisiting the previous seasons of my fave shows. Thx!

Make that eight. 😀

Oh, and in order to see it, go back to the hSDN forum, click on the "number of replies" for this thread, and a little window will pop up that shows how much everyone has posted. 🙂

POST NOW AHMD! You are at a code red risk for losing your keys.

I had no idea you could do that. And all this time I was trying to figure out where you found the post total on the thread page. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that the top four posters have been finalized, unless Doxorubicin makes a comeback. Odd to see that we're the only four who have really been doing this thread for so long. Will make the undergrad thread a bit boring...

Just have to hope there aren't that many gunners who make an appearance in the UG thread. I don't know how many "I have a 4.0 GPA and don't think I'll have any chance at my state med school" posts I can deal with.

Random question for you guys: do you have Twitter or Facebook? I don't have either, but I just realized that both my high school senior class and my undergraduate class have set up Facebook pages. Don't know whether it's worth the trouble and wanted to see whether you guys use it or not.

I check fb maybe once or twice a week and mostly just for my UG page. It allows you to meet with your classmates (somewhat) and learn about important deadlines, scholarships, etc.

I don't use fb either, I thought it would be a huge time sink for me. I am feeling increasing pressure though, for the same reasons as AHMD.

I am an active Facebook-er 🙂 I like it, and it's kinda handy. It's really nice for keeping in contact with people I don't see that much any more, especially as more and more of my friends (and now us!) go off to college. I'm not one of those people that updates their status 1092384 times an hour, haha, but I'm usually on it at least a couple times throughout the day.

Gah. I will probably have to use Zuckerbergs machine at some point in the near future. >.>

New thread name suggestions:

(Analyze, plz).

'Class of 2020: The thread that holds the yarn ball together'

'Class of 2020: Probably better than your class thread.'

'Class of 2020: Year of the Sloth'

'Class of 2020: Another random class thread you probably don't belong in, but will creep on anyway'

Post your own!

I declare them all brilliant, particularly Year of the Sloth. 😀

Um um um...

Class of 2020: The classiest of the classes.

Class of 2020: #swag

Class of 2020: Because 2019 is so last year.

Class of 2020: Home of the Philosloth and Existential Squid.

Well...The first one seems to be a play on words equating an Internet forum topic, dubbed a 'thread', to a piece of string. Calling us the thread that holds the yarn ball, or SDN, together suggests that our thread is imperative to the survival of SDN and since it does not exist yet, it cannot hold SDN together and therefore the fact that SDN is thriving renders this thread name inaccurate.

Second one: The use of the word 'probably' severely weakens the point that the tag line is trying to instill.

Third one: While 'the sloth' is a humorous inside joke to the class of 2020 per se, the rest of the world views sloths as slow and dim witted, surely not the case of the 2020 class.

4th: Using the word random suggests that our class thread is not unique in itself. If you believe that, fine. But it is against human nature to describe oneself as average.

I propose 'Class of 2020: Skippin' Class and Makin' A's.'

Wow, the thread is quiet tonight! Quite a contrast to last night, haha. How was everyone's weekend?

School starts tomorrow, last test in bio besides final on Friday, have 16 pages to go on an 18 page research paper due on April 3rd that I despise with every fiber of my being, have to make up my mind on whether or not to take the AP calc test (probably will, I'm pro at it 🙂)...

So all in all, alright.

Oh yeah, last bio lab, I wore my iron man glow-in-the-dark reactor shirt to class. A girl sitting across from me said, "Is that the arc reactor from iron man?" to which I said yes,and she responded, "That is so cool, I'm jealous right now."

To tired to find a GIF to summarize the awesomeness of the event.

Couldn't resist. 😀 My weekend was pretty good as well. I had a super laid back Sunday afternoon. After mi familia y yo got home from church I took a nap for like 2 hours. It was lovely. 😎

It's almost midnight here and even if I went to bed now, that would be the earliest since spring break. TGF-no class until 9:30

It's almost 1am here. School starts at 7:15. Night owls ftw!

Ouch. I hate morning classes, even though I can function on 2-3 hours of sleep, the first hour of awakeness sucks.

You're close to overtaking Cee btw.

Ha, I'm with ya. I prefer a minimum of 4-5 hours, though I can function pretty normally-ish on 3ish. Sorta.

AW YEAH. Cee, I'm coming for you. *dramatic background music* :ninja:

4-5 is optimal, I just took 2-3 because that's how long I slept between shifts due to the hunger games premier.

Ha, oh gosh, you worked during that? Ouch. Not that I'm hating on The Hunger Games, I'm definitely a big fan myself 😀 I'm sure that was quite an adventure though lol.

[heading to bed by the way, adios compadre!]

Yeah, it sucked, but college friends were back in town, and I didn't have to work much (I had to dress up as Gale, and pretty much got to chill the entire time.)

Adios.

Mother of god, Ceph is close.

But let's focus on the important thing here...

... INS had to dress up as Gale?

Were you molested by fangirls? (Or fanboys?)

😀

Sadly my spring break is over as well. I am pretty sure no one was ready to return this morning. Half the class is currently asleep in study hall.

Also, I have a new bucket list addition:

whale-sharks.jpg

Whale sharks are legit.

Whoops, almost forgot. I love both of your thread name suggestions! How will we decide?

That is exactly how I feel. #jawsmusic

But if you have read any old mythology, you know that only the squid can slay a shark.

(What I mean by that is Ceph may be unbeatable).

That Whale Shark is so unique! I don't believe I have seen a pic of one before.

AND I just housed a BritLit quiz! Heh. Pastoralism is no match for me.

How about who ever gets post 1096 gets to choose from the list.

Buuuuut... It's your choice Cee, you got 1k.

Well, I had fan girls all over me before, so it wasn't that big of a difference 😎

See, whenever I attempt a power nap it turns into multiple hours of deep hibernation. 😛

So James Cameron just tweeted from the bottom of the ocean. I am so green with envy, shrek looks pale in comparison.

Can you guys imagine going that far down into the dark . . . Alone?

Only upside: You could pay a visit to the existential squid.

Isn't that so awesome? And I had no idea the Mariana Trench had wifi! 😀 Haha, in all seriousness though, that would definitely be quite an experience. +2 points to James Cameron.
