Is this correct? Click to expand... Neonates get HSV-2 from their mom's genitals. That's why this makes sense. In children and adults, HSV-1 causes more temporal encephalitis than HSV-2. Also, HSV-2 causes herpes simplex meningitis more often than HSV-1. hope this helps! Upvote 0 Downvote
