About three years ago, I attempted to take about four courses that I didn't finish and ended up failing out that semester. So I talked with them this year and they said come on back and finish. Now I just got an email that says they are discontinuing the program (it is a degree program in emergency medicine for EMS providers). WTF?!

I was planning on doing very well and bumping my GPA up into the 3.2 range. I should mention this is based on previous retakes thanks to the Osteopathic method of replacing grades. What the heck do I do now?

My only plan is finishing a program at the university in my hometown. Maybe in biology or something. But I still need a ton of courses to get me into the 3.0 range. Or should I just do the best I can with the Bio degree and hope to get into a post-bacc program or even Caribbean?

I didn't follow some of that. Do you have a degree? If the issue was just replacing grades, you can replace those four failing grades with courses from any other school that is convenient so long as the content covered is roughly the same.

While the program ending may be a setback it is by no means the end of the road for you as long as you're willing to put in the necessary work. Retake the classes you did worst in (anywhere that is cheap and convenient for you), make sure you work your tail off and get a 4.0 from here on out.

There are plenty of threads on this site featuring stories of people who overcame low gpa's to get accepted. Read them over if you're looking for examples on how it's done or some added inspiration. Best of luck

No these were courses going towards a degree and these courses are not ones you find at all colleges. They are for a unique major at a major university here in Pittsburgh.

I have a decent science GPA at 3.4 but my overall GPA is in around 2.7.
