So my University offers two different anatomy courses — Biol348- Human Anatomy and Biol223/224 which is A&P 1 and 2. The description for 348 is “Considerstion of Human anatomical systems — structure, composition, gross function, development and origins. Fundamental principles of anatomy including gross, microscopic, developmental and evolutionary aspects”. Based on this, would one class vs the other give a considerable advantage for the DAT?

I’m leaning towards doing 223/224 but the issue is I’m on a full ride scholarship, but it will only pay for classes applicable to my major. 348 is applicable to my major so it’d be free, but if I took 223/224 it would be out of pocket.

I would say take the free one. Don’t waste money. There are very few schools that actually require anatomy as a requirement and I have pretty much noticed that either one of the courses you listed satisfies that requirement and satisfies recommendations. Many undergraduate schools don’t offer both and many more don’t even have cadavers in lab so dental schools are pretty much forced to accept either I believe

Some schools that require anatomy and physiology require anatomy AND physiology as two separate courses or two semesters of A&p. As usual I’d call your state school and ask if this will cut it.

I agree with whats stated above about taking the free one. That way you wont have to pay for it and when you take a separate semester of physiology you'll for sure have your bases covered. Also, IMO you'll get a better understanding of anatomy when focusing on it alone. Be advised though, anatomy requires a great time commitment so hopefully you can set your schedule up to foster success!
