I just wanted to share with all of you that Wilma was bad--really bad.
The whole thing was very scary, but we are Ok & only have minor damages. My PVC gates were blown in pieces. Big tree in the yard is down, and so most of the ones around my house 🙁 This is nothing compare to Katrina.
So, those of you applying to NOVA.....go ahead and do it. Don't buy a property here since is too overpriced. That way you don't have to deal with fixing in case of hurricanes. My deductible is $4,000--some friends have as much as $10,000. So my gate rapair will be over $1,000 😱 This was a category 3. If it's a 4 or a 5 you will have to evacuate, and come back when safe.
I'm running out of gas and food, had no milk for my boys 🙁 the lines at the grocery and gas stations are very very long....but every day things are returning to normal and my school will start again on Monday. I hope by then I can get some gas. Our power and internet are back, so that's cool!
Well, just wanted to let you know that for you as a student to live here will be a lot easier than for me (if you don't have family that is). So apply and hope for the best 🙂 I don't think I'll be applying at NOVA at all 😕 I don't even know what happened to their campus yet.
