Has anyone heard about these? Or do you know of any similar that might be cheaper? I just need something that will cancel sound, but where I can still hear an alarm in the morning to wake me up.

I've had enough of my apartment mates after last night. They wake me up at 4 am when they come back to the apartment with friends, all loud and excited. I'm worried this is going to affect my grades. And I'm not sure I feel comfortable confronting them about it; I feel like that would be very awkward and cause them to hate me.

Plus, I'm sure these would be helpful for studying.

I mean, it depends on the decibel reduction you want.

If you want to try something cheap, I swear by Howard Leight Max.

They have a 33 decibel reduction, so they are really quiet, but I can still hear my alarm on my nightstand. As a plus, they are 5 dollars for 20 pairs, which would last a long time. There is no active noise reduction or Bluetooth technology though.

You could also try regular earbuds from a quality manufacturer like Shure. Their basic earbuds run under $50 and block 37 db. I have used these in the past and as a plus, they are nice regular headphones.

I use disposable earplugs, very comfortable with NRR 33.
