Interesting article. If they can get it to work in humans, makes you wonder how it will affect anesthesia in the future. The only constant in life is change.

Not a new concept. Safar in Pittsburgh has been working on it...I know the military had interest in it.

I wonder if it will ever come into clinical practice.

Sanjay Gupta was talking about this during his guest spot on the Tonight Show last night. Pretty cool concept, but I'm sure we're light years away from implementing it in the way he described.
