If you have a patient with excessive sweating of the hands, what nerves would you have to ablate? Would it be something like C6-C8? But if you do that, wouldn't that also decrease the sympathetic output to the rest of the hands?
so how would one treat a patient with excessive sweating?

you wouldn't want to do anything at the level of the cranial nerve you would do it much more distally. I'm pretty sure the treatment is botox injections to the area that you want to prevent from sweating which would basically be the distribution of the ulnar and median nerves.
