Hyperplasia of interstitial cell of lydge

Why in cryptorchidism patients ... Hyperplasia of interstitial cell of lydge occures ?
Wrong forum. This is definitely not an MCAT question. Did you mean cells of Leydig? I don't recall cells of lydge from my days in medical school.

From histo during MS2 I recall undescended testes often show decreased # of Leydig cells and loss of Sertoli cells. Can't recall much beyond that (Histo shelf was a nightmare, I've blocked it out). I would think hyperplasia of Leydig cells to be more involved in testicular cancer, not UDT.

Hope this helps, good luck!
