how does hyperthyroidism result in tachycardia and anxiety ??

Not that this is a major point, but I have a feeling there isn't a surge of catecholamines, per se. I believe, as correctly stated here, there is an up-regulation of beta-1 receptor transcription, serving to enhance the body's sensitivity to already circulating TH. But I could be wrong. But thank goodness esoteric details like this don't matter on the exam. Sometimes.
