Simply put, why are the sudoriferous glands often activated when an individual enters hypovolemic shock? It seems counterproductive to further decrease blood volume in such a situation. Are there any other types of circulatory shocks that produce such an effect?

This is just my educated guess, I haven't read into it and maybe I should. But sweat glands are activated by the sympathetic nervous system which hyperactivated during states of cardiovascular shock.
