This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

New Jersey is fast!

AMCAS hasn't even transmitted to their schools yet.

Ahh, feels so good to be wasting company time on SDN again...

Alomar:clap:

I got secondaries from PCOM and New Jersey already!

When did you guys submit your primary applications?

I think i submited my application around may 16th, and it was transmited to school on june 16th

Do you guys already have your MCAT scores, final grades, etc? If not, how do you already have secondaries?

Also, I have gotten one back from DMU (a top choice of mine) and I don't know whether to send back now or wait until tomorrow when I get my scores back. I am fairly confident that I did well but, I am a newlywed and my husband is in law school so money is tight. Hence, if I did not do well enough to get in I don't need to waste my money. What do you guys think?

However, I did already send the address and recommendation sheet to my recommenders so that they could begin the process. I figure that is what takes the longest anyway. And then as soon as I get my MCAT scores I'll send in my secondary application. Do you think that this is OK?

Thanks,

Patch

My MCAT and last classes were in 2001, so I was a bit ahead of schedule there...

I submitted as early as possible, and was transmitted 6/16.

As for when to send your stuff into DMU; do it ASAP. It is your favorite, so you should apply no matter what your scores are. Apply early, and hope that the adcomm gods smile upon thee!

Don't wait for the MCATs. Apply now. Have faith.

I have not got my MCAT scores yet but decided to apply regardless. My thoughts are that by submitting early, I would have less to worry about after I found what I got in the MCAT. In case I did really bad in the MCAT, I will just turn in my secondary application later on, and not only that it takes a while for the premed committee at my school to send recommendations. PCOM states in its later that I received that the secondary must be submitted before March 7th, New Jersey on the other hand gave me 10 days to complete my secondary.

as long as you're convinced that you will be applying next year, i think it's best to send in the application as soon as possible. it shows initiative and schools will be apt to reply favorably to someone applying earlier than later. i applied the first day possible and have already filled out secondaries to PCOM and NOVA. good luck to everyone
