I heard that it's much more difficult than simple SAT math section.
But then what material should I use to study?

Even people who used DAT destroyer seems to get around 17 on the real DAT.

I want to know a good math material to study. Harder is better. or should I say which material has similar difficulty as the real DAT?

I used Achiever and Kaplan, and felt very prepared. I got 17-18 on practice tests and 20 on the dat, after studying what i did wrong. that's the best way to go.

the only thing i like about kaplan online is the math section👍. They have tons of workshops for math ranging from easiest to hardest level.

when are u taking your exam joonkim?

I am thinking of taking it in March 2009.
I think I am good with math. I got around 750 out of 800 on SAT. But I heard that DAT math is way~~~~ harder than SAT so I am kinda worried.

my high school friend who got A's in all of his math classes including AP calculus BC only got highest of 17 on DAT math after taking it three times🙁

joonkim i expect great scores from u since you are preparing so ahead of time haha but for the math man its frustrating...ive been practicing with crack dat math, but their wording confuses me sometimes...i have yet to tackle the kaplan qr tests...will let u know how those are. gluck studying!

you dont need this much time to prepare for the DAT. it's a memory-intensive test. I think its overkill to prepare this far ahead of time. Instead you should take courses that will help you with the DAT and that you enjoy. then everything else will fall into place.

DAT math is not hard. you just have to be smart about it on test day. skip the ones u dont know and do the ones you do. i don't know what people are doing to get so low on QR

Hi,
I want to start to study for math. Here is what I'm going to use.
Kaplan BB and the online stuff and Destroyer

is that going to be enough? I'm ok in math

Also I wanted to know if there are any videos like Chad's videos for Math as well? any links?

Thank you.

I'm thinking along those lines too but I also bought MATH destroyer. I wonder if that will be enough o.o... Does anyone have any useful sites?

Another good one is CRACK DAT MATH. The news for that program was that it has horrible explanations but the NEW VERSION now has video solutions. You press the video solution to the problem and a man at a white board explains how to do the problems. It is actually really helpful!

good Luck

I have the newest version of Crack DAT Math (updated 4/19 - I actually bought it June 5th) and I have the ultra mega deluxe (whatever) $300 version of PAT/SCI/Math and I do not see the video button anywhere, nor can I find instructions on the website anywhere. If I can't figure this out, I may have bigger problems then the DAT.

Anyone able to help? The only explanation I get is a picture which doesn't explain much for a bunch of the problems.

Ah apparently I had version 4.08, and I just updated to 4.11 and it is there. Nice.

I used the Barrons SAT II prep book, which really helped me, as my math foundation was poor. I think the most important thing is to work on your timing. Take as many timed practice tests as you can once your foundation is formed.
