I started working on the PAT 5 or 6 days ago. A month ago, I took the bootcamp's first PAT test with barely any prior experience (apart from a Kaplan diagnostic like a year ago) to the PAT and I got my but smacked with 48/90 correct.

After a disappointing and humiliating performance on BC's PAT, I tried CDP and did 6 tests since Wednesday. I received scores of 18, 18, 17, 17, 21, 19. I heard the fifth test was the easiest on CDP and I definitely agree. Now get this, I tried DAT Bootcamp tests again and I got a 20 (64/90) on the retry of BC's first test, then a 20 (70/90) on the second BC test. I am confused because I thought Bootcamp was more representative of the DAT PAT section by being more difficult than CDP, and I am getting better scores in this than I did with CDP. I don't know if I should be worried haha.

Finish all your CDP; I'm going to do that soon and then bootcamp. and yea fifth CDP was extremely easy... I had like 10 mins left and got to last to recheck it all.

Submitted and got a 25 didn't believe it then thought they probably wanted to boost your confidence

What have you been scoring on CDP if you don't mind me asking? Some of the pattern folding on CDP is kind of ridiculous but some of the cube counting is just plain unfair with their illusions.

20/19/21/20/25 easiest one...

i think the fourth one i bombed with an 18 so i got depressed and retook it again to make myself happy lol. There was a very tricky one on the fourth I think and it was like wtf optical illusion? Couldnt differentiate if that was fused with two sides or something. I don't bother tallying up stuff. I just keep track of # with my fingers and just use my mouse to go thru it.

Wow nice scores, I think you're ready for BC! How long have you been working on the PAT? I'll definitely be finishing up the CDP tests over the next two days. I feel like I am almost 'there' with this section... although all I hope for on test day is a 19. If I average my CDP and BC scores, it comes out to around 19 🙂.

I want to go over destroyers once more then quick play on chads while going over feralis and then take bootcamp tests next week i pray everything goes as planned :\

And my scores arent nearly that great seriously. the 25 is a joke cause i think we all got jipped on that test. sure a confidence booster but i'd take a harder test so i'd be prepared. you'll be fine with your scores. just make sure you review once you're done with each test. its pretty much practice

Nice, it sounds like you and I both have our tests coming up soon. Mine is on the 23rd and today I just started going over Feralis again for the second time. I'm on page 10/65. It's amazing how fast the biology content goes out the window when you don't use it. I scored 19s and one 20 on bootcamp's biology with feralis' notes fresh in my mind.

19 AND 20 sounds great dude. i'm doing destroyer 2nd time again and forgetting stuff... sigh so sad. mines on 30th things are getting serious

Alright here is an update to my scores in bootcamp:

20/20/18/18/19/20 on the first 6 tests. I am averaging around 61/62 out of 90 correct on BC. I should have done better on test 3, but I choked on TFE for some reason and got a little more than half wrong. My biggest struggle is keyholes, where I often get like 7-8 wrong but I think that is about the norm around here. Am I ready for the real thing yet?

Also here is a question I came across on bootcamp for test 6, question 79. Is their explanation wrong? I got the right answer, D, but I don't understand why their red arrow is pointing in the direction they show. In the attachments, image 1 is the question and image 2 is their explanation.

Thanks!

Here's my explanation; didn't bother looking at their explanation. Also If you get around those scores I think you're ready. Others have gotten those scores for their BC so you should be good. And just see what you did wrong/mistakes

Ok, I couldn't have drawn it better than yours haha! I tried something like what you did but failed hard. I agree with your explanation! So then bootcamp's reasoning is incorrect because the blue dot (solid white face) is what you have to consider, which is not the solid white face they refer to by their red arrow.

Biggest tip is focus on one face and fold the other two around it. Don't fold multiple at a time if you get what I mean.

As for keyholes, biggest thing is to just look for anomaly in one area rather than looking at multiple spots again.
