😕Guys I neeeeeeeeeed your help:

I started studying for DAT (like serious) after finishing kaplan classes in mid may; I studied all kbb,lesson book, subject tests, all fulllength, topscore and used to get 23 24 on science...20 in math. ..21 22 PAT on both top score and kaplan's; but 3 days ago one of my study partner took DAT and did terrible ( 17 and lower) and she said "GO BURN KAPLAN BOOKS...nothing was similar to kaplan".... 🙁🙁 I was supposed to take DAT in 2 weeks..Now i am in shock...i heard from you guys DAT Destroyer is really good...I ordered it but can i finish it in 3 weeks?😕 is it really hard and killing?? am i really behind?? I am tired of studying, sitting home and after all these studying, people telling me get Destroyer....any advice?🙁

relax, if you have strong back ground ( i think you have) you will be ok.

eh just relax. You'll do fine. Though kaplan and topscorepro, even cliffs, and barrons, all have different tests, in the end you'll do just as well as your doing on your practice exams if not better.

Just dont freak out. I actually did a little bit better than i expected on my exam. Some people just aren't good test takers. Your numbers are solid!

Either she didn't know what she was studying, or she is just exaggerating because she bombed it.

If you have scored 23, 24 on Kaplan science, I think you have nothing to worry about. Since you have already ordered the destroyer, study more with it and ace DAT.

well the thing is, kaplan bb is only bad for biology, everything else i think its alright...its ok for gchem but to tell you the truth the best thing to do is just to memorize the simple road maps in destroyer...there are about 5

After your done memorizing the destroyer road maps then start doing the questions and learning from them...you will find it easy after the first run through and also you will be very very knowledgeable about ochem...i was horrbile at ochem but in serious 12 hours of studying 1 day i turned myself around...

For biology i recommend schaum's and cliff's ap bio altough its very difficult to read schaum's (i read it once and will never read it again cuz i have my test this week and it takes basically an entire week to fully read)...but memorize cliff's ap bio its very good and in depth unlike kaplan. then do destroyer along with other tests.

For gchem i would just suggest to do kbb (memorize it) then go into destroyer and other tests..

Hi I used kaplan on my first DAT and it wasn't enough. I suggest you to get DAT Destroyer, it will give you more information. Having more sources is always better than sticking to one. Kaplan is insufficient for Biology. So if you have time to read schaums and ap cliffs bio do it. DAT is having Biology, Chemistry, and Organic comprehensive finals. Just knowing basics is not enough...you need to dig more through it. Crack Pat is good as well. For Math, I'm not pro at this but I would recommend getting GRE Math review or SAT books for practice problems and CRack Math for timing.

I also used kaplan on my first run. My scores ended up being avg except for PAT. If anything, this is the section you should be worried about. Kaplan under prepares you and leaves you hanging on test day. 3 weeks you say...Here's what I would do. Go and buy yourself 10 practice PAT exams from crack pat. Take one at least every other day so you stay fresh up until your exam. You also might want to purchase Cliffs as many others have pointed out and read through it a couple of times. GL

Get destroyer for sure. You can get through it in less than a week.

Man, your friend just bombed so she had to hate on kaplan. I did kaplan and let me tell you, I got 2-3 points higher on the real dat compared to kaplan.
My advice: Chill! Grow a pair and rock the DAT!
