Hello everyone,

I am not sure I was put on academic probation, all I remember is after coming back from undergoing cancer treatment, the financial aid office wanted an appeal to give my financial aid back. I called the registrar, and spoke to them, over looked all of my transcripts and I cannot find any record of it anywhere. It says good standing each semester. My overall GPA never dipped below 3.0 either.

This is what she said via email.

Her:
I was reading more into this than necessary.
All you need to do is to look at your transcript; it shows your academic standing for EVERY semester.
You can either look at your unofficial transcript online, or if you have a copy of your official transcript, the standing appears on both.

Me: Actually I do not need anything in writing. There is a question on AMCAS that asks have you ever been put on academic probation? I am not sure if I ever was so it says just ask the registrar if you ever were. All I need to know is if I've ever been put on academic probation so I can answer yes or no to this question.I saw that but I thought I had been put on academic probation but couldn't remember when. If you Dont see any record of it I will answer no. I saw that it says good standing each semester but it says to check even if it was erased. But if you do not see anything and can confirm that I will answer no.

Her:
I confirm; answer NO!
Good luck!

Because I was so meticulously picky about it, I think I sort of irritated her lol.

So I am not sure what to answer because I cannot find any record of it.

You have it in writing from the registrar that you're not on probation. You're fine. Say no on AMCAS/secondaries. If there was ever any question of this, you can show the email. Not that I think you'll need to do this. Having to petition for your financial aid is NOT the same thing as being put on probation for academic reasons.
