things just got crazy for me and I am thinking of not applying or should I take the DAT anyway and see how I do, then decide? I have studied on/off for about 2 month but NOT everyday, I haven't had science classes in 10 years but I did get kaplan book and pretty much familiar with all concepts. What do you guys think? Take my chances or wait till next year?

I'd take it and see what happens.

I was in a similar situation two years ago and decided to wait another year and I regret my decision. I was worried so much about getting in that I didn't want to apply late (October) but then the next year I ended up easily getting into every school that I applied to.

I could be a DS2 right now instead of a DS1 if I wasn't such a wuss.

Go through kaplan book in its entirety, rewrite information you read onto notebook, take own notes, take practice tests, then take DAT...dont waste ur money if youre not at least somewhat confident. ne puha ne pyera

study and take the DAT and see how you do. Who knows, you might even surprise yourself. Worest case you take it again and then are really prepared to apply next year. good luck

Depends on how BAD you really want to get it, and how big of a hurry you are in. If you really want to get going then try applying, I guess there is nothing to lose. If you don't hurry you will be applying late, if you want good chances of getting in you need to apply early...
