I will have completed 80 credits at a CC by the end of Fall 2012. I am planning to transfer to a state university in the state of PA. I would love to be able to attend Pittsburgh, Temple, or Penn State but the CoA is too high.

If I attend a school like West Chester, the CoA is much lower. Any thing I should be worried about? My goal is to get my BS in Biochem all while taking out the smallest amount of loans med school.

For these 80 credits, I have not taken a single loan or paid tuition and I'm grateful that America provides a safety net for people. I have no credit and have never taken out a loan. What should I know before I go out seeking loans?

If it isn't an issue to apply to the schools(application fees) why not apply and see what kind of aid you will get.

I am assuming that since you didn't pay anything you qualified for aid, therefore you would qualify for something at a university you choose to attend.

IMO, I would go to the least expensive after scholarships, grants, etc have been factored in.
