So here's the back story. I am not a biology or chemistry major so the list of professors I can ask for a LOR from is not very long. It's been two semesters since I've had the second part of general chemistry and four semesters since I've had the first, even though they were two of my favorite professors. I felt as though asking professors I've had more recently was a better idea. So I'm taking the second part of anatomy & physiology right now and my school hired a new professor from China to teach all anatomy courses. He went to medical school in China and is now teaching in the United States. For the two and a half months I've been in his class he's always been upbeat and excited to be there teaching us. He also always stresses how important topics are because we'll need them in medical school, dental school, or nursing. He also always goes off on tangents and tells us that he hopes we make a lot of money becoming a doctor and what not. So I thought it'd be a great idea to ask him for a LOR, only to find out that I'm the first student he's ever had to ask him for a LOR. He also struggles with the English language. Because of this, was it an unwise move asking him for a LOR? The other two professors I asked were my organic chemistry professor (who I've had for a full academic year) and one of my finance professors. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
