Technology I cant open word.doc

Sorry if this has nothing to do with pre-med topics ...

I can't open any type of word.doc but I can open pdf files. Any solutions?

Whenever I try to open any type of word document, I get a screen that says
(file).doc could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

i do not know what's causing the problem, but u may just want to reinstall word

The same thing happened to me last semester. You just have to remove and reinstall Word.
