Wanted to reschedule but all the available times are at 8 or 8:30 am
I can't take a test at such time. I just can't
I even tried different states
all at the same time
Needless to say, I am not a morning person.
My physics and orgo tests were the only ones at 8 am, didn't sleep only for an hour or 2 on such tests the night before.

My current test is scheduled 12:30, but I need to reschedule

To be honest I can reschedule and push it 6 days only. The only date at 12:30
but would it be worth it? I don't know

Why do you want to reschedule it? Isn't your exam not until August? Did something come up?

Needless to say, the exam being in the morning shouldn't affect you. Like the other posts said, it isn't that bad being in the morning. Trust me

You'll have to take dental school tests this early my man. Better start now

This was the first thought that entered my head as well. You're going to have little to no control over when you take exams in dental school, being able to wake up early and take an exam is a necessary skill you'll need to develop and it's better to develop it sooner rather than later.

Try to start waking up and taking practice tests at 8 AM so that you've adjusted to the process.

Totally agree. If sleeping is your problem, try to take a melatonin pill so that you'll fall asleep more easily at night. Also, really try to get to bed early in the weeks following your test. Nothing would be worse than going into your DAT with an hour of sleep.

I saw somebody say they took a sleeping pill (not sure what kind) at 6pm the night of the test, then woke up at 6 very rejuvenated. Maybe try this for a week after talking to your doctor?

Overall you really need to fix your sleep schedule. If none of this works, something I did back in the summers when I was younger is I would stay up for an entire day (I was usually waking up at like 2pm) then I would fall asleep at around 8 or 9 pm the next day. It sucks, but usually my sleep schedule was fixed after I did this (I think we all experienced staying up too late too many times during the summers in middle school).

Edit: obviously don't do the above unless its well ahead of your test. Also I'm obviously not a doctor so don't take anything I say to heart

Thank you all for your replies. I really appreciate your input and tips.
I understand what you are saying. I'll take it at 8 am if I have too, but If I can help it, I'll take it at 12:30 or at 11 am just because I know I sleep around 4:30 am usually, so it hard to change my habits now.
Yeah, I need to change and get used to dental schools time, but I just don't want to risk it with the DAT.
