Today is the first day that I got all my paps the first try, and everyone had a good cervix that didn't give me any problems....\

What about right before surgery when there's so much fat down there that you can't find the freakin' urethra for a urine cath! I saw a nurse up to her elbows yesterday trying to find it! 😱

When I did Ob/Gyn one of the docs I worked with had a 450-lb pregnant patient. She was trying to check if her cervix was dilated yet, and she was in elbow-deep as well... 😱

I had to put a foley in a 300-lb woman once. Difficult, to say the least.

Pap smears suck, just like OB/GYN in general. Why anyone would want to do that $hit all day long is beyond me.

The first Foley I EVER put in a female was 3 weeks ago in the MICU - in a 730lb woman. She wasn't one of those ambulatory people (that are very muscular under all the adipose) - her creatinine is 0.5, so there's no "body" there. 3 nurses on each leg. It was HORRIBLE.
