I did worse on my second DAT

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I can't tell you how US schools will view the additional Canadian DAT.

But your american DAT score fall within range of all enrolled students. the problem though as you know is that you're an international student and only about 5% of the enrolled class are international students. there is no known separate breakdown for international students. the mean scores can be much higher for all I know.

your best bet is to call up schools you're interested in see what they say.

At least your scores are all over 8 now!

Yeah, I've seen some nasty carving marks. Must have been delivered to evaluators by this guy:

But yeah, it's harder to get in as an international applicant.
Your GPA is a bit over average, while your DAT is on par with the average matriculant.

If you apply with your stats right now, I would say it's 50/50. If you can get your DAT to 21+, your odds will be greatly increased.

For Canadians, you have a better chance of getting into the private schools, than a state school, because private schools don't give any preference on an applicant's residency.

I took the Canadian DAT before but thought I would take a shot at the American one. However, I did worse this time around.

Here's how I did compared to the Canadian DAT.
PA: 21 PA: 18
RC:19 RC: 22
TS:19 TS: 19
AA:19 AA: 20
QR:17 Carving: 8 (lol)

I don't know whether or not I should retake. My GPA is 3.60 and sGPA is around 3.50 i do have a huge upward trend though... I'm worried that my scores aren't competitive enough because I am Canadian. Will schools look down on me taking it a third time?
Your advice is much appreciated! 🙂

The american DAT looks good (coupled with that GPA).... but your an international students (canadian right?).... so I dunno how the competition is for you guys
