And I am scared that they(interviewer) are going to ask about any pharmacy experience. I have shadowed two pharmacists but did not work in a pharmacy. So I do not know too much about how things work.
Would it be okay to say
"I do not have any pharm experience b/c I was busy with my course work. But I learn very quickly"

Oh one more question, is it bad to wear skirt to the interview?

Be honest with your response. Tell them that you have not worked in a pharmacy, but you have shadowed a few pharamcists. At least your shadowing shows initiative of your interest in this profession. A person who has had pharmacy experience may not necessarily be a better applicant than you. The interviewers do not expect you to know how things work in a pharmacy. That's why we're going to school. 🙂
As long as you show geniuine interest in this field, you're fine. Best wishes 🙂

P.S. I wore a skirt suit to my interviews. As long as it's formal, it's fine 😉

Yeah... definitely mention your shadowing experience and what you got out of it. Oh, and I wore a skirt with matching blazer to all my interviews. As long as it covers your knees when you sit down you shouldn't feel like you're being "risque" at all.

Tell them what you know about pharmacy while shadowing the pharmacists. What did you learn? Try to focus on the matter and not dwell on the fact that you did not work in a pharmacy. Keep in mind that they have already looked at your application and offered you an interview. They KNOW! What they're looking for at this point is your attitude, enthusiasm, communication skills, and desire to attend their school.

I would not urge you to offer up the fact that you don't have any REAL experience. If they ask, which they will, you should make your shadowing experiences seem like the most important and empowering experiences to you and your interests in pharmacy, in the world. Tell them that talking with they pharamacists gave you a good idea of the profession and what it has to offer. They don't have to know the exact amount of time that you spent with them. I was with CVS for 2 weeks when I had my interview, but I talked about everything. Some of this is going to entail you doing a little research on pharmacy too but if it's what u really want, it should be something you want to learn about anyways. Also, a skirt suit is always seen as more professional than a pants suit for me, especially to ur interviewers who might be more traditional. Good luck!

Thats how I approached my interviews. I didn't have any working experience in a pharmacy, just shawdowing. If they asked about it I mentioned that I had shawdowed people across the field of pharmacy and explained how those experiences interested me. I also made sure that I had a very good response to the "why pharmacy" question to show that I was motivated and knew what I was getting into, even without working in a pharmacy.

Not everyone getting in has had pharmacy experience and I doubt any interviewer will hold that against you if your other stats are competitive.

Personally, I wouldn't wear a skirt.
