I dont know what to do about my LOEs!

I have 5 people writing me LOEs, but I just now realized that I can only have 4 maximum on AADSAS!!!

So which of the following LOEs should I remove from my list:

1. Biology Professor #1- Mandatory
2. Biology Professor #2- Mandatory
3. Dentist #1- Went to UOP dental school (which is the school I want to get into), and she will be writing about my ability to be good with patients. Plus I worked for her for almost 2 years doing office work
4. Dentist #2- Went to UCSF dental school (and is my second cousin), and I shadowed him for ~40 hours. He will be discussing family hardships I have faced during my academic journey, and my passion for dentistry.
5. Sculpture Professor- Will talk about my manual dexterity and performance in his art class.


Let me know which I should get rid of. Is there a way to send 5 LOEs?!!!

You always have the option of calling the schools to ask. However, I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that most will say no. IMO, skip the sculpture professor's letter.

drop dentist #2. compared to the other dentist you spent very little time with him. you want to go to uop so that is where dentist #1 went. also you should talk about any "family hardships" not your dentist.

You are worried about what to do because you have too many LORs...

I would also get rid of dentist #2's LOE. You don't need two dental LOEs, especially when many schools don't even require 1. If you want to mail dental #2 LOE, call your schools up and see if you can send that one directly to their office.

So I think Im going with the status quo... Get rid of Dentist #2.

Recommendation letters from relatives are never given much consideration and are usually inappropriate. If you want to discuss your family hardship, take it up in the personal statement letter.

wow u have a sweet problem. When I was applying, anyone that had the ability to write a good LOR for me was on my "sent" list. lol

so now two people have said to get rid of the Scultpure professors LOR, Can anyone explain why he is not a good candidate? He will talk wonders about my manual dexterity and my hand eye coordination, and my passion for working with my hands.

It's just my reason ok? I don't know about your situation but in my situation, it will be more beneficial for me.

In my lor i asked my proffesors and managers who can explain a lot of information about me. Think of the LOR as another personal statement or another application that provides information about you that you didn't get to display yet in the real application...so at the end.....the whole application will have comprehensive information about you....

In my opinion of the sculpture professor, you will provide information to the school on your hands eye coordination but with the other 4 professors and evaluators, you can provide informatino on your personality/potential/characters/etc/etc....but i don't know what your situation is so....do the whatever is best for you.
