Is it bad that I'm going into medicine?

Discuss.

I think it'll work out OK as the feeling seems to be largely mutual.

1. Radiology
2. Pathology
3. Research

I generally like patients, but patients who complain about the temperature, how many times they're being poked, and how many doctors come see them are nuts... especially if they're in hella bad renal failure... shouldn't you be focusing on not dying? And noncompliant patients... or patients who would rather take supplements than their meds... the worst.

Med school is a three ring circus of side show freaks and that's not even talking about the patients or administration!

A resident at one of the hospitals I was rotating at was exposed to HIV during an intern year (he had more than one) and was required to adhere to the basic PEP regimen. It was only after that regimen, and its undesirable side effects, that he understood how patients can be noncompliant with their meds.

How Stupid (not you but their reasoning for being non-compliant)!!

Lets see the options:
1) take meds--feel crappy for a while---LIVE
2)no take meds-feel okay------------DIE

Hmmmn seems like a no brainer.......But then again we are dealing with the "oh so smart" patients........😴

You can be a medical director in medical device or pharmaceutical industry, medical columnist, executive of hospital if you really hate to see patients. But if you hate all humans, then perhaps pathology and radiology are good fields to consider.

Medical examiner. The humans you absolutely hate are now all dead.
