Hey everyone, I am a frustrated applicant who messed up and need some advise. So I went to a community college in high school and then went to my main Uni. The physics class I took at community college in high school I received a D! I retook the class at University and got an A- in the course and an A in the lab. So entering in my course work I put 0 units in for the course I took at cc and put the units for the final class. The problem I only put the term "repeat" on the cc class and not on my most recent physics class. So that screwed up my GPA BIG time. Dropped me from a cum 3.53 sci 3.53 down to cum 3.4 and sci 3.37... (MCAT scores 12 5 9 26 and 9 7 10 26...) Called AACOMAS many times they say they can't help me. Okay so what do I do now? This really sucks. Email the schools as they confirm they got my app and tell them it was a repeat? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

It's rather odd that they wouldn't correct the mistake, they technically are sending incorrect information to schools. I would call them again and demand to speak to a supervisor.

You would think through logic they would fix it. But nope. Very frustrated right now. I talked to a supervisor, I think her name was Victoria. She said that they can't fix even though it is indicated on BOTH official transcripts that it was a repeat, the fact that I mislabeled a class screwed me because of policies. She said the only thing I can do is email individual schools about it. Kind of annoying because these schools are receiving thousands of apps. So take my mess up as a lesson and don't mess up repeated courses from different institutions because they wont fix it. However if you mislabeled a repeated course from the same institution they will fix it!

I had a friend who applied last cycle who listed a 3 credit course as a 1 credit course and AACOMAS didnt catch it and sent it to his schools. Think he called them to correct.

Called the schools or AACOMAS? AACOMAS has been dreadful to deal with.

I just assumed he called AACOMAS. I never had to deal with them over the phone.

I don't understand how you mark something as repeat on the application. Do you type in "repeat" or you just leave the units at 0.
What I did was:
1) List all the classes ever taken
2) If i retook a class, I put in 0 credits next to classes that were replaced, but still leave in my grade.
3) Then during the review and finalize step. I marked the replaced classes and new classes with the better grade with a green box. At no point did I type in repeat anywhere?

You just leave it as 0 units and indicate it and the review and finalize step.

You should keep trying to call until you get someone helpful.

AACOMAS was never really helpful to me.
