Finally! For those who are applying/getting interviews/in already, what do you think my chances are, considering I had a ~3.0cum/3.1sc, but am currently getting my masters in biochem (3.75+ gpa).
PAT: 20
QR: 18
RC: 20
Bio: 21
GChem: 21
OChem: 23
TS: 22
AA: 21
Study Materials: Kaplan Online Course, Topscore, Achiever. Supplemented with text books, Cliff's Bio AP, ExamKrakers.
Main Observations:
PAT:
1. Graphics on the REAL DAT is sooo much clearer + sharper than on Topscore and Achiever. Especially on Key Holes, where seeing if certain lines meet at corners can mean the difference between 2 answer choices. So don't freak out!
2. Angle ranking was NOT impossible, but definitely harder than Kaplan haha
3. The shapes of objects, patterns, etc, were BASIC, easy-medium difficulty. They don't have any gnarly objects that you have to pass through a keyhole. They're the kind of shapes/objects/paperfolding on a practice test where you're thinking to yourself "Oh, I can picture this in my head!" So I think timing is everything. Work on having a good pace where you FEEL if you're spending too much time on one question.
QR:
1. Wow. They threw some random math topics in there. Just know all the recurrent problem types cold, think of that as your "base" score, then hopefully you've studied some of the more obscure problem types.
2. Conversions (i.e. Celsius to Farenheit) were given.
BIO:
1. I studied the Kaplan Blue Book and reviewed with Cliff's AP Bio very meticulously. BUT the REAL test threw about 10 questions from left field, on RANDOM topics. Again, there is a "base" set of knowledge you should have, then what you know on top of that will help your score.
OCHEM:
I've taken the DAT's twice, and both times got a 23 on Ochem. Just know the Blue Book COLD. That's it. (make flashcards)
RC:
I should have done better. My passages were too easy. I just just didn't pace myself well enough and ended up running out of time.
