I got my first quarter grade back, from UCSD (I'm a freshman) and it's B,B,B, and A (but that's from transfer community college course so I count that in my GPA).

Relax and enjoy your undergrad, you'll wish you did once you do get into dental school. If you are pulling decent grades, A's and B's, you'll get in somewhere given you have solid experience and dedication to the field. 😀

HA...the freshman woes...I remember those days.
Don't sweat it. You have plenty of time before you need to start stressing. Seriously, don't worry about it. Save your worries for the summer you apply. But until then just do your best. As long as you improve that is all that matters.

I overslept and missed one of my comparative anatomy practicals. Lesson learned: Make sure you set the alarm clock for 7:30 AM and not 7:30 PM.

There is really no point to be on SDN until after junior year... If i would have found out about this b4 then I would have had much lower grades... it is addicting and time consuming but does not matter now because I have the free time!! =)

my advice.... quit SDN, study/party for 3 years.... come back after junior year.... find out what is hot to study for the DAT and apply... it is not hard.,..... and it is even easier with a higher GPA

Yeah man I feel the same, I just completed my freshmen semester at UT Austin and I have a 3.25 took no science classes though screwed up because of my professors and got 2 Cs, 1 B, and 2As. But next yr i'm going to start taking my science courses so I'll be alright hopefully.

3.2 GPA and 20AA/19PAT got me six interviews out of nine schools applied. I went to four of them; got into NYU and BU, waitlisted at Buffalo, and still waiting on word from VCU.

Aww don't worry. I have had worse quarters at UCSD and I got into dental school. Don't let the pre-health gunners there faze you! They won't get half as far as someone with a good head on his/her shoulders. Chin up! 👍
