Relax and enjoy your undergrad, you'll wish you did once you do get into dental school. If you are pulling decent grades, A's and B's, you'll get in somewhere given you have solid experience and dedication to the field. 😀
HA...the freshman woes...I remember those days.
Don't sweat it. You have plenty of time before you need to start stressing. Seriously, don't worry about it. Save your worries for the summer you apply. But until then just do your best. As long as you improve that is all that matters.

freshman is about partying man! I partied with Jigabodo when I was back in davis. we were so lame.
edit: sorry, that was totally inappropriate. haha yeh study hard enough to get straight As. but from my memories, first two years of college was just soo fun partying though.

Well, you're already off to a better start than me. Forget to show up for 3 out of your 4 final exams 1st semester freshman year, and then you'll have tied my record of absolute idiocy.
I overslept and missed one of my comparative anatomy practicals. Lesson learned: Make sure you set the alarm clock for 7:30 AM and not 7:30 PM.

Dude, I realize you're a freshman, but it's just dental school. You don't need straight As. My transcript is littered with Cs and Ws and I still got into multiple schools.

There is really no point to be on SDN until after junior year... If i would have found out about this b4 then I would have had much lower grades... it is addicting and time consuming but does not matter now because I have the free time!! =)
my advice.... quit SDN, study/party for 3 years.... come back after junior year.... find out what is hot to study for the DAT and apply... it is not hard.,..... and it is even easier with a higher GPA

Yeah man I feel the same, I just completed my freshmen semester at UT Austin and I have a 3.25 took no science classes though screwed up because of my professors and got 2 Cs, 1 B, and 2As. But next yr i'm going to start taking my science courses so I'll be alright hopefully.
3.2 GPA and 20AA/19PAT got me six interviews out of nine schools applied. I went to four of them; got into NYU and BU, waitlisted at Buffalo, and still waiting on word from VCU.

Who didn't get a C in calculus? I certainly did. Don't worry about it. Retake it if you want, I didn't. I hated calculus.

you should probably just quit trying to be a dentist. dental schools don't want people who are capable of getting c's, just quit now and save yourself all the money, time, and effort

Are you serious? What was your GPA? no awards? what schools did you get into? what was your DAT? lol Im also a freshmen same thing happpened to me that happened to this guy. But because of you guys I always have hope 🙂
