I forgot to mention a research activity in my secondary application asking what I am doing during my gap year.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The research activity is listed in my primary application but I completely forgot to mention it in my secondary. Will this be a huge problem?
-Did the Primary mention a future date range? Did you just start research or do you have 1+ year's worth completed on the Primary?
-What activities did you include on the Secondary for the gap year? Do they make you look busy? How many hours/week does the omitted research activity involve?
-Is the school you're referring to a research-oriented med school?

- The date range listed was 6/2019-12/2019 so I just started not too long ago just recently got IRB approval.
- I noted studying for the mcat while working part time as a scribe one institution and now currently working full time as a medical scribe at a different hospital. Omitting research probably cuts out about 5 hours a week of activity.
- The schools I forgot to send it to are drexel and temple so i'm not sure how much they value research activity.

I often counsel that applicants not include an activity that's just begun when one is not yet past the probation period, as one might not stay, and certainly one has little to say about a new experience. Five hours per week isn't a serious omission. And now you have a solid new activity to use in update letters (where allowed) and interview conversations. Be sure to include your part in the IRB application process.
