I got a "B" in my surgery core rotation.

Your "B" is from a non-US school?
Transcripts will probably be looked at with some concern about how it compares to US but yeah a B isn't good. Its not the end of the world however, as I'd suspect your Step 1 score and IMG status will hurt more.
