No way around it.

"Patient reports that he has not had to take Ropinirole for 2 months after being treated by a chiropractor for RLS."

If you tap on the cranium just right the substantia nigra will release extra dopamine. I'm not joking, it's science.

You have a video of that? What do you tap with...a ball peen hammer?

What dose of Ropinirole ?

Was the RLS / condition verified with a sleep study?

This kinda screams placebo effect.

'patient's spinal stenosis symptoms relieved following chiropractic adjustment at the T8/T9 junction to relieve pathologic extension at this joint. Previous workup had noted that this is the area where he had a bridging osteophyte resulting in mild compression of the anterior cord (as seen on MRI) with physical exam signs consistent with spinal cord irritation including hyper-reflexia, hypertonicity, and spasticity (as noted by several neurologists, physiatrists and PTs, which resulted in significant discomfort most notably while lying down relieved with movement. Further functional examination by physiatrist revealed that this segment was hypermobile likely due to severe radiculopathy and resultant muscle weakness at this level. As a result of facet arthrosis, physiatrist noted that the vertebrae easily became 'locked' in this position, exacerbating symptoms of stenosis'

True story. Until my rehabilitation work improved the spinal instability at that level, I relied on my chiro to get rid of what for all intense and purposes felt like RLS.

I don't want to have to look him up, but I doubt he had any studies done. It was the first time I've seen him while his psychiatrist was away.

If you "tap" the cranium really, really hard and with a sledge hammer you can do enough brain damage to completely destroy the basal ganglia and therefore eliminate all movements (or eliminate the suppression of certain movements). These patients tend not to be able to complain of RLS either.

A sleep study is not routinely indicated for the diagnosis of RLS.

Neuropathy can mimic or contribute to RLS; perhaps neuropathy is what the chiropracter treated (as other posters have suggested)
