I took the DAT in august. I had them send the scores to all the schools. A couple of weeks later I check my status at USC and it says they don't have my DAT. I call and they told me that they don't have it. So I went online and had ADA send out the score to them again, and payed another $25 or however much it costs. I get a letter from USC today saying that they don't have my DAT score and they won't be able to review my application until I send the scores. This is 5 months AFTER i took the DAT, 4 something months AFTER I had sent the score for the second time. I called and they gave the number of the person that was out of office today so I have to call tomorrow. I'm so pissed right now.

The same thing happened to my cousin and they were very rude to her on the phone when she called to resolve the issue. What really bothers me though is that I called USC and they told me that they had my score after I sent it for the second time. If they had told me the truth I could have called ADA and resolved this a lot earlier...

I had the same situation ntil today - its total bullsit and extremely poor customer service. I took the canadian DAT and its the same situation for the CDA - you pay so much money and you can't even talk to someone. I sent them an email and left a message two days ago and still have no reply. Lucky the school in question now says i am good to go

If it helps, the Canadian Dental Association is the same. It happens to lots of people. Best thing is to fax unofficial scores to all universities as soon as you get them.

Well USC told me that they have had unofficial scores this whole time but they need the official ones. Are unofficial scores the scores you yourself put into the AADSAS DAT section? Or are they the electronic scores that ADA send out?

It's the official copy, but it becomes unofficial since YOU fax it to the schools. The scores on AADSAS are just a formality. It just makes it a a lot more convenient for adcoms because a lot of them look at your file on the computer screen.

You should just look on the bright side....I am not a CA resident, but looking through all the postings about USC pretty much confirms that that school really sucks...so it shouldn't be a big lost if you don't get an interview! Good luck at another school!

Same thing happened with me regarding my applications to both AZ schools. I noticed one month after my DAT that those two schools were the only two missing my DAT. If it was not for the AT Still admissions officer calling the ADA they probably would have never gotten my DAT. What sucks is there really is nothing you can do. I feel for you! Very frustrating I know.

So get this. I call ADA today and explain the situation. The first thing the lady tells me is that USC is notorious for this haha. Then she checks and tells me that they sent it in August and then again in two weeks later. She then tells that I should call them and tell them that they have 5 copies already haha.

Same thing happened to me. About a month after I sent my DAT scores to schools, four of them sent me an e-mail saying they did not have my scores. I had to call the ADA multiple times and was finally able to speak with somone. They had no record of my DAT requests but I had the confirmation e-mails and bank statement proving that I had been billed. Long story short, they resent my DAT scores free of charge. I wonder if this delay in sending my scores hurt me at some schools.

i'd file a lawsuit if you don't get in, not USC so much, but most schools literally pick most if not all of the their applicants EARLY!!! I hate the ADA too.

Last aplication cycle they screwed up my DAT too. Somehow my name was reversed; ie smith john instead of john smith. I figured it out in december and when i called them they were really nasty to me asking me why i didn't catch it on the confirmation screen right before the test. I was looking for a spelling mistake not something stupid like this and how can i catch something like this under stress.

I wonder how this happened anyway because I am positive that i did not enter my last name where it said first. And, when i called the schools to explained what happened some of them knew what i was talking about right away, like they dealt with this issue already

So the schools didn't start reviewing my app until mid december. Got no interviews, nothing.

Update: So it all started with me calling USC and them telling me that ADA messed up. Then as I mentioned earlier I called ADA and they told me it was USC's fault. I called USC today and guess what they told me? They don't have my score and I should contact ADA lol. I told them what had happened but it didn't matter. Five minutes later, the same lady calls me back and tells me that my score wasn't getting in the system but it was there. Apparently, they update their system/files with the DAT scores that are coming in every week. So each week since August, my DAT score was supposed to go in but wasn't. Anyways, she manually put it in just now.
