Hi everyone,
I need some advice on my AMCAS situation. I submitted my AMCAS application in early June and all my transcripts got in and I went active on July 28th.
Here's my story:
I went to Georgetown University undergrad, and studied abroad in France junior year. I was directly enrolled in a French University in a program sponsored by William and Mary. The French University has lost my transcript and William and Mary does not have a transcript for me, as I was never a student there. Since I was enrolled THROUGH William and Mary, Georgetown University's transcript notes that I was at William and Mary during my junior year abroad.
Side note: AMCAS grants transcript exception requests for studying in a non-US or non-Canadian university.
I applied for a transcript exception request on AMCAS. When I submitted my AMCAS application, I noticed that Georgetown had William and Mary on my transcript. Consequently, I:
* wrote AMCAS an email saying that I was in a French University, not at William and Mary.
* had William and Mary send a letter stating that they had no transcript for me directly to AMCAS.
At long last, I was in "verification" yesterday...I was looking forward to being processed by the end of the day...I just checked my email and found out the my application is now on hold, because they want a transcript from W&M. I'm back to where I was two months ago. 😡
How did they miss all my letters and phone calls stating that W&M has no transcript for me?!
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with the situation? I'd really appreciate any thoughts you all might have.
