OK...I was glowing the other day because my application was finally processed, right? That was until I got a message from Morehouse Medical School stating that my supplemental app could not be processed because I had not paid my fee. O.K., I called them and they informed me that I did not have a current AMCAS fee waiver on file...soo after waiting the usual 20-30 minutes...I spoke with an AMCAS "specialist" that let me know that my application was denied on 6-19.

I asked him how could that be since I had more that one email stating that my application was APPROVED on that very date. Man..they really need to get their sh&^ together up there. If they are not losing transcripts...they're coming up with bogus s*^) like this...sorry...just had to vent...
but having that fee waiver is the difference between like $700 and no dollars.

MOREHOUSE requires an application fee of all applicants; Morehouse's fee will automatically be waived if the student has an AMCAS fee waiver. Are you complaining about not getting an AMCAS fee waiver, or about getting an additional request for a fee from Morehouse? In recent years, not just this year, AMCAS has set the fee waiver bar higher than in years past. Morehouse knows this yet stands by its policy.
Morehouse has a very small entering class of 40 with preference given to Georgia residents.

No, I was complaining because I have received a fee waiver from AMCAS. I have all the documents that I was sent that indicated that I have been approved. I've had them since July. Yet, no one at AMCAS seems to have knowledge of these documents. So, I have to email and fax copies of my letters and emails to them..Lord knows how long it's going to take them to figure it out.
