When I was 13 years old I was in the 7th grade and I became very interested in music and popular culture. My views about drugs like marijuana and LSD changed and I became very curious about all kinds of drugs and what they did chemically to people and psychologically. It was all out of unquenchable fearless boundless curiosity and an internet connection. I lived in the suburbs but went to Jr. High with some crazy Mexican kids who while i did not really associate with i could communicate with.
I asked about it since I knew Carlos had shown up to class high already a few times. I wait until May of that school year and then one day I say I'd be interested in smoking some weed. Experimenting. So we go and do it with the most delequint kids youve ever seen and I am blown away at whats been in front of me the whole time but i haven't ever really noticed. It was insane. Since this isn't a great neighborhood there's this abondened house, like it looks like some people packed up to go into witness protection style and left in a jiffy. There were syringes and it smelled horrible and it was messy and damp inside. It was in a bad bad state.
We smoked in there and I punched the wall because I could. Then the cops pull up because someone across the street called since we kept entering and leaving the house (waiting for drugs and just exploring around).
I got charged with paraphernalia(an apple), possession, tresspass, and criminal mischief.
I did a plea and abanace and plead guilty and got the paraphanellia and possesion dropped.
I was not fingerprinted.
Now will just what I plead guilty to show up on my record or dropped charges as well? Will what happened show in the background check or just charges and dates?
Will all four keep me out of med school? Does my story make me sound unfit?
I have not gotten in trouble for anything since, I'm a great student, URM, i had my drivers suspended until i was 17 and I had to 150 hours of community service, not to mention what happned domestically in my family and all the psychological trauma that caused to a boy barely in middle school.
Would it make me look like an idiot if I said it was a crime of curiosity?
I feel like this one event has made me suffer enough.
