Is it okay to retake classes I did poorly on in a community college due to financial problems?

Hello,

I had planned to take upper level classes at my alma matter, however, I'm having some issues with tuition due to being a non-degree student, so I will most likely have to drop the courses. As a result, I do have an account at my local community college and I've been considering retaking some of the prerequisites I did poorly on and might need on the MCAT, such as Organic I and Gen Chem 1 & 2.

Although, this is the better option for me financially, I'm just unsure how adcoms would perceive this. I'm not trying to take the easy way, I just have a financial issue this semester. I'm not sure if this would be a major red flag?

I'll be returning to my alma matter next semester.

Only C-minus or worse grades should be retaken. Remember all graded attempts are averaged for an application GPA.

i would like to start the post-bacc before applying to a master's. unfortunately, my local cc only offers the prerequisites i've already taken (gen bio, chem). should i just take nursing classes instead of chem?

can anyone advise me if UCSD-extension program will be accepted as it is cheaper/upper level courses. or, will it be questioned?
