After you became accepted into pharmacy school, for working in pharmacy do you still need to have your pharmacy technician degree? or being in the pharmacy school is enough?

because I got accepted and I dont have any motivation to continue my externship for pharmacy techinican program at the same time while in pharmacy school next year, I need to work because I need money. What do you suggests?

you have to apply for an pharmacy intern license, i believe, which is different from a pharm tech license. Besides, taking the pharm tech exam is incredibly easy. The pass rate is like 90% of the test takers. I studied the night before and passed well above the rate, even with no pharm tech experience. I didn't know any brand name / generic equivalents. It basically tests your math skills.

I am in the same shoe with you. I need to fulfill 120 hrs of internship for the California pharm tech license. I don't feel like working on it anymore but since I will have a light load of school next quarter, I will just apply for the pharmacy clerk position to get paid and to earn hours as well. When I have enough hours, I will apply for the license. Well, it's not neccessary to get the pharm tech license but it is nice to finish what you start off, I think 🙂 So find a clerk position, you will get paid and those hours qualify for the externship hours also, that's what my pharm tech teacher said.
