I have meetings with some profs to write me a LoR, any advice?

How do these meetings go usually? I have rarely interacted with those profs so I suggested the meetings. Would they ask me a question about their course and test me on my knowledge? Cuz I'm a memorization kind of guy instead of understanding and I definitely forgot everything I learned in these courses. I would love some insight from someone who has had those meetings.

The purpose of meeting with profs you rarely interact with to procure LORs is for the professors to get to know a little about you as person i.e. who you are, where do you come from, what your goals, where do you want to go. This is not an interrogation. It should be a genuine conversation. Then the profs will have something "personal" to say in the LORs other than aiikookie was a student in my X class. They made an A.

In preparation for the meetings, have copies of your CV ready to hand out to them so that they can use that as a point of reference to put in their LORs.

Thank you, I was a little worried as I thought they would ask me questions about their courses.

Buy them coffee or tea.
Have a PS draft and a resume.
Know why you want the faculty member to write you a strong letter.
LISTEN CAREFULLY TO FEEDBACK.
Get a commitment and work with their timeline.
Send them a thank you after meeting and follow up until they submit the letter and afterwards... summarize your conversation and items you want highlighted in your letter.
